In south central Kentucky where we have no residential code enforcement for building contractors in the 14 counties I serve many of the homes inspected are substandard.

JUST WHAT IS A HOME INSPECTION? 

Most people in this area have never been offered a home inspetion, so they don't know what one is.  Here is my definition:  A home inspection is a limited non-invasive visual inspection of a residential dwelling unit.  I will provide in my best professional judgment and opinion, at the time of the inspection, the condition of any readily accessible installed components of these systems and components as described in my Standards of Practice.  I will inspect the residential dwelling unit, and the dwelling's attached garages and carports, the operation of the dwelling's accessible systems including any controls normally operated by the owner of the dwelling for these systems, and any readily accessible installed components described in my Standards of Practice.

• Radon Testing - Radon gas is a silent killer that is emitted naturally from the ground. The second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.
• Septic Dye Testing - Dye is inserted into the septic drain system along with a sufficient amount of water to test the septic leach lines looking for leaks. 
• New Construction/Additions - We will work with your contractor to assure your new home or addition is fully inspected.
